Coral Ridge Baptist University (CRBU) a Bible college and seminary in Florida[2] granting degrees based on mentorship, intense course work, and "real life" ministry experience. The founders of the school believed that every student, while pursuing Biblical and academic studies, must also "show themselves appoved" by being actively engaged in some element of ministry. Desiring to see effective ministers, preachers, pastors, chaplains, Christian educators and missionaries, it was decided that every student have excellent personal mentorship. Mentors would be faculty and adjunct personnel who had spent years excelling in their respective field. That knowledge then, was imparted to learners. Combined with specifically assigned classwork and distance learning assignments, results have been remarkable. Graduates now serve as missionaries, pastors, Christian educators ans as chaplains. These graduates are indeed impacting multitudes for Jesus Christ.

History

CRBU was founded by a group of Baptist and non-denominational ministers, affiliated with the Liberty Baptist Fellowship, Southern Baptist Convention, Coral Ridge Christian Fellowship, the Baptist Bible Fellowship, and the World Baptist Fellowship. Baptist ministers[3] ][4] [5] It operated in Jacksonville, Florida.[6]

In 1992, Don Sills opened a branch of the school near Cedar City, Utah. This branch was named the "George Wythe" branch, and was eventually renamed George Wythe College. Graduate student[citation needed] Oliver DeMille and two others began teaching on-campus classes at this location on September 21, 1992.[3]

The CRBU website ceased operating sometime after August 8, 2001.[7] On January 1, 2002, George Wythe College became independent of CRBU.[8]

In 2001, CRBU offered the following degrees, all "designed solely for ecclesiastical or ministerial and Christian education vocations".[9]
