Mrs O

[edit]

Mrs-O.org [1] is a blog dedicated to the fashion and style of American first lady Michelle Obama.
The site offers coverage and commentary on Mrs O’s attire, the designers she is wearing and is a forum for enthusiasts to convene. The site is the primary online destination for anyone wishing to learn or talk about Mrs O’s style. It is repeatedly linked to by publications as the leading reference in the area of Mrs Obama’s fashion.

The site was launched in September 2008 when no other dedicated online site for this subject was available. Today is has approximately 120,000 unique visitors each day.

In October 2009, a book of the same subject will be published under the name 'Mrs O, The Face of Fashion Democracy' published by Hachette (publishing).

Mary Tomer is the founder and main contributing editor of Mrs-O.org. In the summer of 2008, captivated by Michelle Obama’s arrival on the national stage, Mary began documenting her style on Mrs-O.org. Mary has appeared on the Today Show [2], Access Hollywood [3] and BBC Radio, speaking as an authority on the first lady’s style. While not blogging, Mary works in advertising for Bartle Bogle Hegarty [4] in New York. On the site Mary edits under the pseudonym Mrs T, she is also the author of the forthcoming book publication.

In August 2009, Mrs-O.org launched additional sections of the site offering coverage and commentary on Mrs O inspired subjects, such as charity and shopping, under O.Give and O.Shop. The site also offers a forum, called O.Chat, for users to discuss related subjects.
