I'm ObeliskBJM, an American user, currently a second-year student at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. I major in political science and Russian. My main contribution so far has been the French Social Party article, which I created.

Aside from Russia, my major interests are in the field of moral and political philosophy, with regard to which I am an admirer of the ideas of Immanuel Kant.

Politically speaking, I consider myself a liberal socialist in the tradition of Carlo Rosselli, Norberto Bobbio and others. I ground my socialism on a normative basis rather than on any comprehensive philosophical system. I favor decentralization, worker control, a loose representative organization of the economy, and a pluralistic civil society as necessary means for the defense of freedom in a world where new forms of control and domination are rapidly emerging.
