Micronics is the company which developed the NES versions of 1942, Athena, Ghosts 'n Goblins, Ikari Warriors, Ikari Warriors 2, and Tiger Heli. Although uncredited in almost all their games, their work can often be identified by a distinct Pause sound effect. The games also have long delays between changing screens, since the games transferred graphics to video memory at a much slower rate than usual. Most of their games also ran at very low frame rates, varying between 12 and 20 FPS, instead of the expected 30FPS.

The company also developed games for the SNES (e.g. Raiden Trad).
