Veppanthattai taluk is a taluk of Perambalur district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The headquarters of the taluk is the town of Veppanthattai.

Population

According to the 2001 census, the taluk of Veppanthattai had a population of 136,401 with 67,929 males and 68,472 females. There were 1008 women for every 1000 men. The taluk had a literacy rate of 65.35. The total number of households was 35,025.
