Wii Fit Plus (Wiiフィットプラス, Wii Fitto Purasu) is a fitness video game by Nintendo for the Wii console. The game is an enhanced version of Wii Fit[3] and was announced at Nintendo's E3 2009 media briefing on June 2, 2009. The game was released in Japan on October 1 2009 and in North America three days later on October 4. In addition to the original Wii Fit activities and options, Wii Fit Plus also incorporates 15 new balance games and six new strength training and yoga activities.[1] New features include a calorie burning counter, the ability for users to create custom fitness regimens or choose from a number of specialized routines based on specific objectives and available time, as well as having the option to create profiles for pets. Users will also be able to navigate more quickly between exercises, allowing for more flow to their exercise.[5][verification needed][6][verification needed][7]
Wii Fit Plus is sold bundled with a Wii Balance Board, as well as separately for existing Wii Balance Board owners.[1] The disc only version is also available to Wii Fit owners at a special $19.99 price.
Reception
IGN gave Wii Fit Plus a score of 8.2.[8]
