Lyrics question
Why do the film version and Elton John version have so different sets of lyrics (with nothing except the 6-word phrase that is the title of the song in common)?? Georgia guy 19:31, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
- One song was intended for the film, the other to be a freestanding pop music song. I imagine that some lyric changes were needed to make the song more accesible to those just wanted to hear an Elton John song. Blue Phoenix 20:36, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
Neil Diamond?
I have a version of this song on my computer that is sang by Neil Diamond. I find no information about this song on this article. Does anyone know when this was song was made? Thanks. Manningmbd 18:26, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
Broadway / Film versions
Should it be noted that the lyrics of the last verse of the song were changed for the Broadway version? JP Godfrey (Talk to me) 12:14, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
Film version (Sung by Timone & Pumba)
And if they fall in love tonight
It can be assumed
His care-free days with us are history
In short our pal is doomed
Broadway version (Sung by Nala & Simba)
(Nala)
An if he feels the love tonight
In the way I do
(Simba)
It's enough for this restless wanderer
(Both)
Just to be with you
Disney Mania???
I read somewhere that there are plans for Adam Lambert to cover the song on the next DisneyMania...can someone confirm this for me? I don't remember where I read it. 71.48.76.59 (talk) 20:48, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
Easter egg on I'll Be There
I've rented the movie twice, and on some DVDs (one had it, one didn't) if you hit "OK" just as the credits come on, a version of the song plays that is very similar to S Club's; it's a duet between a male and female singer. But since it's an Easter egg, the band isn't listed in the credits, and neither is the song. Has anyone else used this feature, and if so can they say who it was? I know it isn't S Club; they sound different. PrepJock101 (talk) 21:04, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
