Ben 10 Alien Force: Vilgax Attacks is the third game in the Ben 10 video game series, and the second game to be based on the Ben 10: Alien Force series. It was released in October 27, 2009.

Plot

Vilgax, Ben's greatest enemy, has returned with an army of Ben's most dangerous foes to conquer each planet in the universe. Afterward, he plans to destroy Earth and has Psyphon open the Null Void Projector to release some aliens upon Bellwood. When Ben sees the invading aliens and is about to go hero, Paradox arrive stating that now is not the time to use Alien X. After Paradox disappears, Ben, Gwen, and Kevin head out to fight the aliens. When Ben encounters Psyphon on a rooftop, he ends up unleashing some Bioids and Droids on Ben. Ben crosses to the roof that Psyphon is on where Ben ends up fighting Psyphon and more Bioids and Droids. When Psyphon is defeated, he brings the Mr. Smoothy picture on a billboard to life and has it attack Ben. Ben uses a combinations of attacks from Humongousaur, Echo Echo, Swampfire, Chromastone, Spidermonkey, Big Chill, Jetray, Brainstorm, and Goop to finish off Mr. Smoothy. With Mr. Smoothy defeated, Ben returns to normal and discover that the Omnitrix isn't working. Azmuth arrives and tells Ben that his constant changing into different aliens has put the Omnitrix on reboot mode. Ben tells Azmuth that the Earth is invaded and Azmuth sees that it needs recharging and tells Ben to wield the Omnitrix wisely. Gwen and Kevin catch up with Ben. Just as he was about to tell them that the Omnitrix is on reboot mode, Paradox arrives telling them that it's too late to save the Earth. Though Paradox does turn time backwards and gives them a message from Grandpa Max. The message from Grandpa Max states that encrypted messages are coming in from Plumbers all over the galaxy. Grandpa Max tells Ben to get Gwen and Kevin so that they can meet up with Grandpa Max at the planet Vulpin. To get to Vulpin, Ben calls for Ship.

Upon arriving on Vulpin, Ben finds a Plumber's Badge with a message from Grandpa Max stating that Vilgax's forces have already invaded Vulpin and are using the local finery to create some unknown technology for Vilgax (a rare energy core used to power Null Void Projectors). While on Vulpin, Ben clashes with a Two-Headed Snake. After the snake is defeated, Ben ends up clashing with The Vreedle Brothers. After defeating them, Ben finds a Plumber's Badge telling Ben to go to Teradino to destroy another energy core as these energy cores can power a Null Void Projector.

Upon arriving on Terradino, Ben finds another Plumber's Badge with a message from Grandpa Max stating that Vilgax's forces have taken over Terradino and have not yet found the energy core. Grandpa Max also states that the energy core is located in a nearby temple. Ben ends up encountering Charmcaster who unleashes some larger rock monsters on Ben. Ben defeats Charmchaster and destroys the energy core as Gwen and Kevin catch up. Ben finds another Plumber's Badge with a message from Grandpa Max stating that he had to attend some urgent business on Encephalonus IV and that an old enemy of Ben was also sighted there.

Gameplay

Unlike the previous Ben 10 video games, this installment will feature Ben's full range of alien forms from the first season of the series (with Cannonbolt replacing Alien X). Upchuck is included as an exclusive alien form in the DS version of the game (replacing Cannonbolt). Also, this game is a 3-D game unlike the last two Ben 10 games except for the DS. The game will also have Ben traveling to seven new alien planets in an upgradeable starship.
