Season thirteen of South Park, an Americananimatedtelevision series, began airing on March 11, 2009. The first half of the season finished airing on April 22; the remaining seven episodes are scheduled to air between October 7 and November 18 of 2009.[2]
Production
In August 2007, the show was renewed for three more seasons, 13, 14 and 15, each of them containing 14 episodes.[3] In January 2009, right before the season premiered, it was announced that it would be the first season to be broadcast in high definition and to be presented in widescreen.[4]Saturday Night Live cast member Bill Hader (hired in the previous season as a consultant) is now credited as producer starting with this season.
Cartman poses as a superhero vigilante named "The Coon", who grows increasingly jealous of the popularity and success of a rival superhero named "Mysterion".
Randy, posing as a prophet, steps forward with a solution to fix the desperate state of the economy. Kyle eventually comes up with an alternative solution, while Stan tries to return an expensive drink mixer.
Jimmy comes up with one of the funniest jokes of all time but Cartman takes all of the credit, while Kanye West is made fun of for not getting the joke.
Butters is determined to get his first kiss so his friends won’t make fun of him anymore. Meanwhile, one overly dedicated cop wages war on Prostitution in South Park.
