Season thirteen of South Park, an American animated television series, began airing on March 11, 2009. The first half of the season finished airing on April 22; the remaining seven episodes are scheduled to air between October 7 and November 18 of 2009.[2]
Production
In August 2007, the show was renewed for three more seasons, 13, 14 and 15, each of them containing 14 episodes.[3] In January 2009, right before the season premiered, it was announced that it would be the first season to be broadcast in high definition and to be presented in widescreen.[4] Saturday Night Live cast member Bill Hader (hired in the previous season as a consultant) is now credited as producer starting with this season.
