Style

Akakpo is a deliberate and graceful central defender with terrific athletic qualities goodpace, strength on the ball and in the tackle and good ability to win headballs in aerial battles. Serge may be best used at the highest level as an outside back rather than a central defender given his average height (1.78 m) and that he speaks French (so organizing a side that speaks another language may be tough). He has a spirited quality of play fast, engaging and hard tackling[4].

International

Ognadon has since gone on to represent his full senior national team of Togo in World Cup Qualfiers and friendly matches in 2008. He holds currently 3 appearances for Togo National Team (full senior side) including two 2010 World Cup Qualifiers against Zambia and Swaziland and one friendly match in 2008, his last senior national team match was on October 11, 2008.

Participated in both U20 (2 appearances) and U17 (5 appearances) France Youth National Teams, had four total appearances for U17, U18 and U19 French National Team prior to changing national team affilitiation to Togo. Competed in 2004 U17 World Championships with France youth national side[5].

He has played his first international game for Togo, on 10 September 2008 against Zambia in Chililabombwe [6]. Having competed as a French youth international in the U17 and U19 teams plus the Beninense B Team.

Personal life

Serge is we his former teammate Irélé Apo of Beninense and Togolese descent, he holds also besides the French passport [7].
