Are you joking?

That article is about me. My friend made it as a joke I can do whatever I want to it until it's deleted. How can you not tell that's a fake page to begin with? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 166.137.136.23 (talk) 16:40, 19 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Peppertones

Hey, how is an article on a major Korean nationwide newspaper not a reliable third party source? are you kidding me? And, how is winning a major music award widely recognized in Korea not a basis for being "notable"? just because there are no "American" sources does not mean it is not "notable". The internet is not just for Americans or English speaking countries.

Internet Empowerment Resolution

I made some changes Internet Empowerment Resolution. Please let me know if they are satisfactory.

Research & Branding

is a major Ukrainian Public Opinion Polling organization and ti be consistent you would have to remove a host of other Public Opinion Polling Organizations such as news corp, standard and poors, etc. You would also need to remove references to Razmov Center

You have placed this tag on the page I have created BUT you have failed to provide a valid reason to your request. If you remove this item you would have top remove many other pages of a similar notation. You are bringing Wikipedia into disrepute by your actions. Please discuss before you seek to play an obstructive role without justification.

If you apply your logic you would need to also remove the following pages.

dePRODing of articles

Hello Eeekster, this is an automated message from SDPatrolBot to inform you the PROD templates you added to a number of articles were removed:

  • PROD removed from Buk Bak, by User:Phil Bridger, with summary '(Contest prod and replace with {{unsourced}} tag. A Google News archive search shows that this is one of Ghana's leading bands, so this needs to have sources added rather than be deleted.)'
  • PROD removed from C.V. Chandrasekhar, by User:Phil Bridger, with summary '(contest prod - notability is obvious, rather than questionable, if you do a Google News archive search)'
  • PROD removed from List of SJS inducing substances, by User:Antonycarthy, with summary '(added needs citation)'

Please consider discussing your concerns with the relevant users before pursuing deletion further. If you still think the articles should be deleted after communicating with the 'dePRODer,' you may send them to WP:AfD for community discussion. Manny Marc Speedy Deletion

Sorry for clicking "submit" before I added the reference to the bottom of the page. Hopefully, the Bild article (though it's in German) corroborates the relevance of the Manny Marc page to Wikipedia.

About Spiritual Interpretation of the Large Hadron Collider

You have deleted this message: "In ancient occult scriptures we find sporadically evidences that the (ether/electromagnetic) whirlwind may emanate from evil spirits, and may be used as a kind of portal." Ok, I agree that this sentence sounds very weird in modern society, however it is only a matter of right interpretation. Learn basics of mathematical Game Theory, and Theory of Egregores. You even can not imagine how deeply the world of "legitimate science" is manipulated.

My new article

I just started the article Omnibus Appropriations Act, 2010. I'm working on getting it ship-shape. Please bear with me.

Bye and Happy Christmas

Please accept my advanced Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.I will not be able to wish you on those days as I will be taking a Wiki break for one month starting tomorrow. Also wishing you a Happy editing.. :)  arun  talk  06:51, 11 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Cheers

Hey, thanks for the warm welcome.

I'm pretty sure my page meets the guidelines, I've just updated the talkpage with the relevant references, but it's a bit hard to get info on them since it appears that their record label has since disappeared (their website turns up blank) and the radio station that played their music the most has also since died.

Could you check to see if I have enough info there, and if you think it's still ok as an article? , like Slim (New Zealand band),

I assume you won't care, but I thought I'd let you know I just redirected this to Super Mario video game remakes#Super Mario All-Stars. --Glenfarclas (talk) 02:17, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That works just fine for me. Eeekster (talk) 02:27, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

re:December 2009

I am still editing the pages that i've just created, and i am citing sources in the newer editions. If u check my record, I have created and edited quite a number of pages since 2005. I am not a new comer, so there no need to "welcome" me in my user page and remind me that I need to cite sources. I will do it steps by steps in creating a new page.

Pls check out others' contribution record before "welcoming" them to wikipedia, lest you should offend the others. Thank you.

Salt (talk) 05:22, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I did look at your record and saw that you should know better. So please include sources! Eeekster (talk) 05:23, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Haha...you are so funny. If you had looked at my record, you should know all the articles created by me are well sourced. I don't know where you got the impression that I created unsourced articles. It is a serious offence for a real Wikipedian. So please make very sure before making such comments to other users.
In addition, it is a convention in Wikipedia that you should reply other users' message in his/her talk page, but not yours, so that he/she can take notice of your reply, unless you make a very clear message in your talk page beforehand. It is a kind of courtesy in Wikipedia. It seems if I do have something to learn about Wikipedia, probably you will have even more to catch up with.
Salt (talk) 06:50, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Your record isn't relevant (ok, it's relevant in that you should know better than to create unsourced artcles). You did not include a single source in several articles. That makes extra work for other editors. Now you are taking up my time complaining that you were notified of that lapse. Just include sources, as you know you should, and you won't get warnings. Don't include them and you'll get warned; continue and you'll be facing a block. Them's the rules. Complaining to me isn't going to change anything. And, oh yeah, "it is a convention in Wikipedia that you should reply other users' message" isn't true. There is no such convention. If you want to read my replies, it is up to you to come here and read them. Now please stop wasting my time. Eeekster (talk) 08:25, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Layout of user warning

Hi, Eeekster. Re this edit, I recently started using that kind of layout (although I got the heading wrong) because of WP:UW#Layout. I prefer the single-level myself, but I'm not very active with user warnings so thought I was behind a recent change. -- JHunterJ (talk) 13:07, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The big problem is the tools (such as Twinkle) don't recognive the multilevel headers. So it works out better to stay with the single level to avoid making a mess. Eeekster (talk) 22:35, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I've made a change to WP:UW#Layout to reflect that. -- JHunterJ (talk) 23:13, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Looks good and reflects current practice. Eeekster (talk) 23:16, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The copyvio text was up on this page for literally a couple of minutes while I sorted it out. I've added new stuff, and will do more as I find it.\ Fnarf999 \ talk \ contribs \ 23:58, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I've removed the speedy and its associated tags. In the future please don't include copyright violations in articles. Eeekster (talk) 00:01, 22 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't, it was a placeholder for a couple of minutes. I've got fifty windows open here, gimme a break. \ Fnarf999 \ talk \ contribs \ 00:41, 22 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
