I think the "span" figure listed (2324 ft) is misleading or confusing, at least after having read a bunch of suspension-bridge articles, where "span" refers to the distance between supports (see List of largest suspension bridges and Span (architecture)). A reading of this site suggests that 2324 ft is the total distance that the roadway is above water, but that the longest distance between supports is 523 ft (in the main arch span). Thus I think either the listed "span" figure should be changed to 523 ft or the wording should be changed to clarify what's actually being measured. -- 70.130.185.100 (talk) 09:13, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
