Autobiography

Greetings to you all. My name is Cruz Nelson and I am a sixteen year-old male high school student residing in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada with my family and my cat, the appropriately-named Squeeky. Notice the double "E"; his name was purposely misspelled to put emphasis on noisy temper.

I was born on April 15 1989. My favourite food is carrots, but I am also a fan of pizza (who isn't?), rice, and yogurt. Organic food can be a treat to your internal system but not necessarily an award-winning intake. My contributions are attributed through Firefox, and by chance Internet Explorer if I am using my father's computer. I am an Aries, and my favourite colour is blue (of course). My favourite day of the year is Canada Day, as that is the day Canada celebrates the birth of the country!

My hobbies and interests are widely ranged from film and theatre to nature and camping. I have had my dreams of becoming a professional actor in the future, but my acting skills are nothing to applaud; perhaps there is still a chance if I practice. Nature and its surrounding wildlife are a true inspiration for me though. I could probably write a book on the outdoors if my writing skills were a tad more polished. Hiking is my favourite activity, which is quickly followed-up by the breathtaking view of parachuting.

Films have taken me on a joy ride since I was about four years-old. I have far too many favourites to even attempt or bother listing, but if I had to choose my top five favourite films, then it would have to be 1950's All About Eve (with the beautiful Marilyn Monroe, 2004's The Incredibles (simply the best cartoon film to date), and 2005's The Island (which actually did not perform amazingly at the box office). If you wanted me to, I could list the next ten thousand films, but I'm not going to be doing that.

As a Canadian living in Ontario, I speak English as a native language and French as a second language. However, my French is not very good, but I'm able to communicate simple words and phrases. A linguistic I am not, yet I've had a passion to learn another language someday. Should my school offer a course other than French, I will probably accept the moment I hear the rabid news.

Random acts of kindness

  • The computer I commonly access Wikipedia on was a gift from my neighbour, who quickly introduced me to Wikipedia. I'm not sure why, but she told me that this place was worth looking at, and I was instantly hooked. Now you don't get your approaching-thirty-year-old neighbour to do that for you everyday! The monitor is dazzling in perfection and has barely been touched.
  • One of my male friends once lent me his dictionary in order to help me study for a spelling test a few years back. My spelling abilities were once very weak, but from that test forward, I became interested in learning how to S-P-E-L-L. Had I not, then I would have probably would have not wanted to browse Wikipedia. I thank my friend for his contribution.
