Non-notable industry executive. Article written like a cross between a resume and an autobiography. Peacocking and weaselling abound. CSD refused on the grounds of a "full page article in Ebony" which actually turns out to be a paragraph describing what she would like in a perfect date. If kept the article requires a major rewrite without the glorification of the subject. Most of the refs and links refer to either other people associated with her or jobhunting websites. • Keep. Other magazine features on subject were deleted. References were given as follows: BusinessWeek, Time, Marketing Africa, Essence, Ebony. Only reason why Ebony is listed is because there is one available online article on Ebony Singles but other interviews with subject are not available online. Reference Adrienne P. Samuels, Sr. Editor Ebony Magazine. Notability does not only deal with magazine features. Subject is notable in Ghana and U.S. and if this is not satisfactory for Wiki, then so be it. • Delete. The "full page feature" is a paragraph. Something done regularly showing available singles. Not significant coverage, no matter which magazine it's in. Aside from that, fails WP:BIO. Non-notable business career. Lack of significant coverage by reliable third party sources. Being quoted in articles because you are representing a company isn't what I consider significant coverage. I call that doing your job. Written by a SPA who clearly knows her. Niteshift36 (talk) 19:34, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. Notability is evident not only via Ebony but through other publications and international organizations such as MENSA. Online references can be researched. Work mentions for subject are also documented on main page for said company, Uganda Telecom and if Wikipedia deems the African references as insufficient, then contact me at CNBC and delete said article.

  • Keep. Article can be re-written and was already declined for deletion today. See other user's comments. Will re-submit an article from CNBC to address your concerns. However Ebony Magazine conducted an interview with the subject (with a full-paged PICTURE) but the interview is NOT available online. Is every interview in Ebony Magazine documented online. Pls. pick up actual copy because Reference is as follows: Adrienne P. Samuels, Sr. Editor Ebony Magazine. FindArticles.com. COPYRIGHT 2008 Johnson Publishing Co. • Comment. I declined the speedy deletion request, because the article claims that the subject is notable. I also indicated that judging that notability is a task for AFD, and thus the current nomination. The article also hedges close to a promotional website (as evidenced by the profile on Linkedin, for example, which I removed), and promotional articles are also not permitted. My declining the speedy does not prejudice this AFD nomination in any way; quite the opposite, actually. The ebony profile works as a claim of notability, but if that is the only article that shows that notability, then it probably isn't enough - especially if it focuses on the subject's interests as a single woman. A CNBC profile would help as well. UltraExactZZ Said ~ Did 19:47, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
