ijji (Template:Pron-en), is a free multiplayer game portal website developed by the Irvine-based internet company NHN USA. ijji is a subsidiary of NHN Korea's "Hangame" (Korean: 한게임) website. NHN also has game portals in Korea, Japan, and China. Games hosted at ijji range from traditional shooters and MMORPGs to more accessible casual games, all of which are free to download and play, and with the majority featuring multiplayer competitive gameplay.

The ijji website opened on July 7, 2006[1]. ijji has published the third-person shooter GunZ: The Duel, the online racing game Drift City, the fantasy RPG Luminary: Rise of the Goonzu, the action MMORPG Lunia: Record of Lunia War, Rohan: Blood Feud, Splash Fighters and Atlantica Online


Recently, ijji has decided to focus more on the 'hardcore' gaming segment, as they have already released Huxley: The Dystopia[2], Karma: Operation Barbarossa, Alliance of Valiant Arms, and Soul of the Ultimate Nation. Ijji surpassed its ninth million member on October 7, 2009.[3]

Though Ijji history there has been 3 logos to represent its stages in revolution into a massive game portal.

This first logo made its premiere July 7, 2006 when Ijji announced its grand opening[1]
Ijji Second Logo
Ijji second logo was announced January 23,2008. It was meant to represent a community of gamers and one. Ijji held an event to find a Slogan to find which best represent the message convey the logo.[2]
Ijji Latest Logo
Ijji's latest logo represent the current stage of Ijji, Fast pace and modern, with its releases of new graphically intense games, Ijji decide to get hardcore with their new logo.

Gcoins are bought with real money; $1USD = 10 Gcoins. Gcoins can be bought with a broad variety of system.

Ijji converted Ijji-Coins to Gcoins on Jun 26, 2007[72], They held an event to give away 5 free Ggoins to celebrate there new system.[73]

Game Launchers

Ijji has three different types of game launcher meant to start the desired game, ActiveX loader, Plauncher and Reactor.

Ijji Launcher Users access ijji games through the website using a program called the ijji Launcher. To start a game, users sign in to their ijji accounts and click on the "Play Live" button of the desired game. The ijji launcher connects to the game server, installing or updating game files if necessary, and then launches the game. The ijji launcher utilizes Active X to launch through Internet Explorer (or Firefox as of July 2007).


Plauncher

The Plauncher was a plug-in based game starter capable of starting a game from a webpage.

To start a game using the Plauncher a player would open the webpage of the game, login and press "Play Now" This would prompt you to install a plug-in that allows you to launch any game hosted at Ijji.com. This loader was discontented at Aug 19, 2009.

Reactor

ijji Reactor[75] is a software designed for playing and accessing ijji.com games in one program. The Reactor is meant to replace the previous game launcher.
