Your "edit war"

Hi there. Thanks for entering discussions here and here. We all have diverse interests in Wikipedia, and it's fortunate there are opportunities to get to understand each other through discussion. I am, of course, concerned by what you have termed "a nice little edit war", a situation which essentially arose from my request that reasonable grounds be stated by new contributors for making radical edits to established content. Because of that, and accepting your legitimate viewpoint, I shall temporarily withdraw from editing Australian Democrats, which normally rates quite low in my overall contributions. However, you need to know that, in response to the complaints and requests of others, I have previously documented some of the Democrats' history to 1991, and will be contributing more--from reliable third-party sources rather than WP:OR based on distant memory. I look forward to your continuing participation and good faith when I can return. Cheers Bjenks (talk) 04:24, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Australian Democrats

Hi Kathryn, I just sent you email- thought I'd touch base with you "in here". I'm having another read through your email and thought I'd raise 3 things.

First, we should have a look at other political party articles to find a good article we can use as a template- for layout and sections etc. Second, I think we'll have a problem when it comes to describing the kind of support the Democrats enjoy- I sense the WP:NOR being slapped down upon us. Third, what we're embarking on is a rather large. It might be worth paring back the article and establishing a project of our own, with the article being a gateway to sub articles on politics, policies, MPs. I've been fiddling with the article in my sandbox here - have split it in two and done a bit of copy editing. Thoughts? —Preceding undated comment added 04:35, 22 December 2009 (UTC).

Hi Kathryn, I'm now on the Victorian Campaign team and working hard on creating face to face PR opportunities. Could you find someone else to chip away at it? Regards, Paul ( Paul Roberton (talk)) 09:48, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
