Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracles (レイトン教授と奇跡の仮面, Layton-kyōju to Kiseki no Kamen) is the fifth game in the Professor Layton series but the third game chronologically. The game is a prequel to the series, set after Professor Layton and the Specter's Flute, and continues the story of the search for Jean Descole.

Plot

Template:Professor Layton chronology Professor Layton and Luke follow Jean Descole to the mysterious Casino City in search of the mask he wears. Casino City was created by the powers of the Mask of Miracles. Layton and Luke must uncover the truth about the Mask of Miracles. The truth is hidden deep within the Mask.

• Professor Hershel Layton- the well-known professor and puzzle-solver
• Luke Triton- Layton's apprentice and son of Layton's good friend Clark Triton
• Remi Altava- Layton's assistant
• Rosa Grims- Layton's housekeeper
• Clamp Growski- Chelmey's replacement as Layton's fellow detective of the series.
• Keyte- Granny Riddleton's cat, who takes over her job of keeping puzzles
• Jean Descole- Layton's new nemesis and the cause of this adventure

Music

An official soundtrack has not been announced, but it is likely that the game will get its own Japanese OST release as with previous titles in the series.
