Carl Spencer Albert

Carl Spencer Albert (1962-1995), simply known as Carl Albert, was an American musician, the lead singer of the band Vicious Rumors from 1988 until 1995.

He died on April 22, 1995 as a result of a car accident [1][2].

Before to join Vicious Rumors, Carl Albert played with the bands Ruffians [3], Villain [4], and Scratch [5].

In memory of Carl Albert, Vicious Rumors published the CD A tribute to Carl Albert (including bootleg recordings taken from the last european tour they done together) and the home-video The First Ten Years.

The Vicious Rumors song "Perpetual", included into the Something Burning album (and singed by the leader of the band Geoff Thorpe because "there is no one who can take Carl's place"), was the last track written by Carl Albert.

The guitarist Mark McGee, for one of his solo projects (actually unpublished), composed and recorded the song "Find Your Way Home" dedicated to the memory of his lost friend [6].

In 1996, in the album "Torn Between Two Worlds", the French band Dream Child dedicated to Carl Albert and Criss Oliva the song: "No More Darkness" [7].
