I had some problems with this software, when I installed it, AVG stopped working. When I tried to uninstall it, my system would shut down. I had to reinstall my operating system.

This was with an older version of COMODO fire wall and antivirus on windows vista Anyone else have similar problems??

Organization

[edit]

This article is in serious need of organization. I like CFP, it's served me well, but this page is little more than an advertisement for it, which isn't useful. I've already deleted some of the more blatant adverts from it, aside from the comment about it being rated well. I'm unable to confirm or deny this, but I've added a fact tag to it. I'd personally like to see more information regarding the specific technology that's used in the firewall, and how it might be unique to CFP. I'll work a little bit more on what I have in mind and post my thoughts here later. In the mean time, I'm open to some suggestions as to what content would be useful. 12.34.246.39 19:40, 9 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I completed the reference to the 2007 review [1] with a (negative) literal quote about CFP's performance. 85.181.186.15 (talk) 03:31, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please expand the article

[edit]

I haven't tried this one yet but planned to try near feature. Suppose if I have a network and one computer connected through public internet while rest of the computers on the network use to access the net with that computer. Will it be sufficient if I install this firewall only on that computer?. Thanks in advane--Umapathy (உமாபதி) 16:47, 6 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

== apparent error ==

according to the Comodo web site, http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/download_firewall.html, v2.5 supports server 2003 and v3.0 doesn't. This contradicts the article. Leshalles (talk) 22:56, 24 May 2008 (UTC)Leshalles[reply]

Remember this choice

[edit]

It has a "Remember choice" checkbox like Zonealarm, but it doesn't do what it should, it will ALWAYS ask regardless if this is checked or not. I think this should be added to the article. 66.168.19.135 (talk) 15:45, 6 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Table

[edit]

I think it should be changed into text, the table seems kinda pointless to me.DragonZero (talk) 06:34, 31 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I messed up, needs to be fixed.DragonZero (talk) 07:18, 31 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Should this be moved into the CIS article?

[edit]

Should this page be moved into the Comodo Internet Security Suite page? CFP is not on its own anymore. Jeremysbost (talk) 18:53, 4 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I would say yes, and create a redirect to the firewall section. DragonZero (talk) 21:01, 4 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I've proposed a merge. That article already discusses the firewall, and I think that would speed the clean-up of this article. (Agree: re:redirect to the firewall section). Jodi.a.schneider (talk) 13:35, 8 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I vote merge. I would do it now if I knew how. Kiddiediddler (talk) 03:08, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Support. Yes, indeed, there is no more a software called COMODO Firewall Pro. It is COMODO Internet Security which can be installed in Firewall, Anti-virus or Internet Security Mode. After merger, this page should be redirected to Comodo Internet Security Suite. Fleet Command (talk) 05:06, 4 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Well, things change over time. Now there are three different packages: COMODO Firewall, COMODO Antivirus and COMODO Internet Security – all based on the same code base, having the same look. However, I still vote for a merger. Fleet Command (talk) 14:41, 6 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I think they might be exactly the same and only used for marketing purposes. But anyway, CIS is made up of the firewall and AV and D+, so I think it would be best to merge. But we have been discussing this for a long time and no one have done anything. :) Maybe I will soon. LaserWraith (talk) 20:32, 26 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
