Sayid Ahmad I was a khan of the Golden Horde from 1427 or 1433[1] until his death in 1435. Unlike the last five of six khans, Ahmad was not a descendant of Tokhtamysh but Timur-Malik, a cousin of Tokhtamysh. During his reign several regions controlled by the Horde seceded and created their own khanates, leaving him with what would eventually become the Great Horde.
