Career

Dean Aspen is a British born actor born in 1988 (age 21), best known for playing Neville Ashworth and Suzanne Ashworth's teenage godson Duncan Smith in Hollyoaks. Aspen has had a minor role in The Revenge Files Of Alistair Fury playing Scaly Dave. He has made some reports stating that he has to shave a lot to make himself look younger, because his character Duncan is 15 and Dean in real life is 21. Dean Aspen has played the role of Duncan Smith now since the 2nd November 2009 and he still plays the role to this present day.

He has worked closely with Ashley Margolis (Ricky Campbell) and Grant Masters (Martin Campbell). His character (Duncan Smith) first appeared in Hollyoaks on a recurring basis but is now gradually becoming more of a permanent stint in the soap.

Dean was a part of the Northern Gap year Theater between 2006–2007 and is now represented by a different company. He took A-levels at a six form in Cheadle. Dean first graduated as an actor in 2008 when succeeding to play a minor role in The Revenge Files Of Alistair Fury and then as of the 2nd November 2009 began playing the role of teenager Duncan Smith in Hollyoaks. Dean has now been trying to maintain his baby face looks in order to play a fifteen year old six years his junior in Hollyoaks. Dean is also close friends with co-star Ashley Margolis. Since being on Hollyoaks Dean has been in some funny and entertaining story-lines. Dean Aspen was born in Stockport, Cheshire. Dean is whilst being at school performedin many productions as well as performing in productions with the Salford Quays company's. Dean is a native Cheshire and uses this accent on Hollyoaks and becomes very notable and distinctive whilst on and off screen. Dean Aspen's character "Duncan" in Hollyoaks is very cheeky and also very charming.
