Osvaldo Ríos born Osvaldo Ríos Alonso in October 25, 1960 in Carolina, Puerto Rico, is a Puerto Rican actor, model, singer, and guitarist, of Armenian descent, who is best known for his roles in telenovelas. He has appeared in several soap operas, including Abrazame muy Fuerte, Kassandra and the 1996 version of La Viuda de Blanco.

Recently in 2007, Ríos played Don Alejandro de la Vega in the Colombian telenovela: Zorro: La Espada y la Rosa. He plays the role of Santiago in the telenovela El Juramento on Telemundo. Osvaldo is also a famous Latin American singer.

He has been married to three women, actress Sully Diaz, journalist Carmen Dominicci and to Geraldine Fernández. He has two sons: Giuliano and Osvaldo. He has also dated Shakira in 1996 but split from due to their careers leading them onto different paths. He spent some time in jail in Puerto Rico for domestic violence.

He was selected to be the International Godfather of the 2010 National Puerto Rican Parade, a major event held annually in New York City. Because of his history of domestic violence, this sparked a major controversy with major Puerto Rican community leaders calling for a boycott of the parade unless he was disinvited from the event. [1] In an open letter to the media [2], Rios ask for the community's support in this matter.
