A bit of history on the Sallen-Key Filters, The issues that Massenburg had getting constant Q to work with then-state-of-the-art state variables (chided by Walter Jung) citing his AES papers and his website; and the issues misuse of high Q can have on passband phase (this is why a lot of the DSP-based plugins mention linear phase) wold be cool... yea I know I should but I ain't that good of a writer. At least make reference that Q is the term typically used for bandwidth. Wamnet 22:11, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
band-pass
Is a parametric EQ a band-pass filter with controllable gain, frequency and Q? I don't think it is. Band-pass is a LPF and HPF in series, which filters to silence (-inf dB) outside the frequency pass band. A parametric EQ is a bell shape boost or cut that falls to 0dB outside the affected band, passing all outside frequencies. 202.72.159.82 (talk) 13:11, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
