ThunderByte Antivirus

ThunderByte Anti-virus, also known as TBAV, was an early antivirus software.

It was founded by Mr. Frans Veldman in 1988.

TBAV was one of the first Antivirus scanners then along with Avast!, AVG, ESET, Central Point Anti-Virus, F-Prot, IBM Antivirus, McAfee, Microsoft Anti-Virus, Sophos, TrendMicro, Symantec and many more. TBAV was mainly designed for DOS but also have released versions supporting Microsoft Windows.

In 1998, ThunderByte was sold to Norman ASA which merged the two technologies.
