Shane Warren Kippel (born June 4, 1986) is a Canadian television actor.
From 2001-2010, he appeared as a regular cast member in the part of Gavin "Spinner" Mason on Degrassi: The Next Generation, which is broadcast on CTV in Canada. With the exception of the movie Degrassi Takes Manhattan, Kippel will not return for Season 10.
ABC in Australia, and Teen Nick in the United States, Filles TV in France, ZigZap in Poland, and MAK TV in Greece. He starred as Chad the Jock in the 2003 film Todd and the Book of Pure Evil, which was tagged as "A teenager's guide to heavy metal, cheerleaders, true love, and Satan". He also has a recurring role on Life with Derek as the I-Wanna-Rock drummer Ralph in the band "D-Rock".
Kippel is Jewish[1] and has a brother who lives in Israel.[2]
In 2010, he made an appearance on Pure Pwnage: The TV Series.

In the first few season, he appears as a bully at Degrassi. He was very good friends with Jimmy Brooks(Aubrey Graham), in real life known as Drake. Spinner ended up getting Jimmy shot by another kid at school named Rick. They were split up as friends for a while, and end up being friends later in the season. After Spinner graduates he plans on becoming a cop but never makes it into the police academy. He currently works at The Dot, a local cafe in Toronto in the new season.

He had small appearances on the TV Show from Disney "Life with Derek".
