Colin Beyer

Colin Andrew Nielsen Beyer, LL.B., (b. 1938), is a prominent lawyer and businessman in Wellington, New Zealand.

Educated at Victoria University of Wellington, he achieved admission to the Bar in 1962. Specialities are corporate law and mining law.

In the 1970s, while living in Camborne, he spent some time on the Porirua City Council as a Labour Party representative. He later moved to Kelburn.

Prominent directorships include chairmanship of Tower Corporation and of Capital Properties.

His stepdaughter Georgina Beyer achieved fame as the world's first transsexual Member of Parliament.
