The Crested Bunting (Melophus lathami) is a species of bird in the Emberizidae family, from South and Southeast Asia . Its genus Melophus is monotypic.

It is found in Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, Laos, Burma, Nepal, Pakistan, Republic of India, Sikkim, Thailand, and Vietnam. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical dry lowland grassland.
