Rollback (add request)

Reason for requesting rollback Inka 888 (talk) 01:54, 20 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to use rollback. I have made 153 edits total at least 50 of them were anti vandalism edits. I don't use twinkle, i manually undo vandalism.

 Not done I'd like to see some more anti-vandalism work. -- œ 01:20, 21 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
When not working as an editor in my favorite articles, I do anti-vandalism work. I have been searching out and reverting vandalism manually and would like to use Huggle to be more effective. Maybe I'll avoid carpal tunnel syndrome in the process too! :) Joel M. Chat ✐ 16:07, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. -- Joel M. Chat ✐ 16:29, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Regular contributor, been working on more anti-vandalism as of recent and I am enjoying it. I'm sure I've had at least 50 edits against vandalism, I have read over all the policy and procedure for using rollback, but mainly, I am tired of getting beaten to the punch for reverts to vandalism! Theornamentalist (talk) 14:15, 18 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Not done for now. You've made a good number of reverts recently, but I'd like to see a bit more experience and you should warn the vandals that you revert. You might like to try STiki or Twinkle either to just help you with warning vandals or for a faster reverting method. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 14:59, 18 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
No problem, I'll work at it - Theornamentalist (talk) 15:24, 18 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure if it's too soon, but rollback definitely would have been useful here and here. I have left messages too, sometimes not only templated ones, even received an email from a vandal! - Theornamentalist (talk) 12:21, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I would like this because I revert vandalism when I see it and sometimes check for vandalism in recent changes Mr.Kennedy1 talk 19:08, 20 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Not done I don't see a large number of reverts in your contributions and I don't see any warnings issued to vandals. You might like to try Twinkle or STiki to assist you with reverting and warning. Warning is important because it allows us to keep tabs on persistent vandals and informs misguided editors. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 01:05, 21 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I have made about 700 edits, about 100 of which were Recent Changes patrol. If I can see it is vandalism from Recent Changes, I'll revert it there. If I am unsure, I will go to the diff and rollback there. Us441(talk) (contribs) 11:39, 21 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I want to revert vandalism because I want to prevent vandalism from the IP Addresses and vandalism-only accounts to keep Wikipedia safe. Wayne Olajuwon (talk) 15:03, 21 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Not done. You have little to no recent experience fighting real vandalism here on Wikipedia. If you want the rollback tool, show us that you need it! Go to Special:RecentChanges and make 50 or so vandalism reverts, either with the undo function, or the userscript, Twinkle. One you have done that, come back and request the tool again. -FASTILY (TALK) 00:25, 22 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
When not editing certain articles, I tend to patrol the recent IP edits page. I know vandalism policy, don't have anything on my record, and use a slow computer. I'd appreciate having this tool. Nolelover (talk) 15:34, 21 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have 23,811 edits and perhaps 5% of those are vandalism related - fighting against vandalism I would hope. I would say some of the most tricky 'vandalism' I come across is where an IP has tried to be productive but actually made things worse by misunderstanding how Wikipedia works, often trying to undo their mistake they often makes things worse. Anyway I'm rambling here, I use twinkle but I believe this is meant to be quicker so I would like permission to use it. EchetusXe 19:21, 21 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I edit mainly Anglo Saxon and local sites. The local sites particularly are prone to joke and spam edits, so any tools to reduce it would be useful. Wilfridselsey (talk) 19:34, 21 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
