Plot

Mahadevan (Mukesh), Govindan Kutty (Siddique), Appukuttan (Jagadish) and Thomas Kutty (Asokan) are four young men who live in the town 'in harihar nagar'. The movie starts with an incident which took place in Bombay, where a briefcase is carried by a man and given to another man, and that man gives it to another man. The 'third' man is being followed by another two men who want the briefcase. The man calls a taxi and goes off, thinking that he is safe. But then the taxi stops in one place where nobody is there, and the driver takes a gun and kills the man, and he takes the money. In this scene, nobody's heads are shown.

In the next scene the foursome are then shown, with the song "unnam marannu thenni paranna". From now onwards, Thomas kutty, Appukuttan, Mahadevan and Govindan Kutty make us laugh a lot. Then, near Mahadevan's house, a lady with her grandfather and grandmother newly comes to stay there. Appukkuttan then gives this news to the other three and they disappear to Mahadevan's house, to see the new lady. They don't see her. But then they try and try and try to win her heart. Then it shows that the lady, whose name is Maya, puts a letter into the postbox near their house. The foursome wait there for the postman to come and after so much time he comes. They tell lies to the postman that their letter had mistakenly fallen into the postbox. Postman is satisfied with 50 rupees, and he gives them the letter. In that letter, they find that Maya is here to investigate the murder of her brother. So as a part of the investigation, she goes to a library. There the foursome saw a man spoiling the tire of Maya's bike. They wanted to shine in front of Maya and so they beaten him up. Then they found that it was not her bike. they ran away. Then, they act that they are the friends of her brother. But then, the problem comes, John Honai who wants the 'briefcase' from the foursome (the briefcase which was shown at first, and it was filled with lot of money and jewellery). Then, the story was like this, Androse was the child of 'Ammachi'. His friend was Maya's brother. John Honai's father was killed by the taxi driver and the driver was Androse. The money is of Androse's father. And Maya's brother was killed by John Honai for the money. This is told by another woman who was the girlfriend of Androse, to Maya. The foursome escape from Honai in a very nice trick. Then Maya and her grandparents are caught by Honai but foursome rescue them. Then at last, Ammachi takes the briefcase which was with Androse's girlfriend. She has a gun which was given by Androse to her, for her safety. Then Honai comes there to take the briefcase and he took the gun. But unfortunately, the gas was on and when he lights a lighter, Honai justs burns. Then what is shown is, Maya is packing her things to leave from Hariharnagar. She keeps some things on the road, saying that all of the things were for the foursome and they become happy. But when her car leaves, the briefcase opens and the money, jewellery, everything are seen. She shouts from the car that it is for them. They become happy, and the film ends. In the second part, the 'briefcase' alone becomes the problem. In the third part, the briefcase causes a horror.
