"The waist is the part of the abdomen between the bellybutton and breasts." What, no it isn't! It's below the bellybutton.

Location

I thought that the waist is the narrowest part of the torso, which is normally a bit above the navel. The young man measuring himself isn't at his waist, that's his hips... 86.176.15.88 (talk) 23:45, 5 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Must be a matter of perception, then. I always assumed that the waist (on men) was the line where your belt would fit the best, which means that since his belt is a bit lower, he's measuring too high. 63.87.189.17 (talk) 14:48, 29 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
