What a Horrible Night to Have a Curse is the first release by American death metal band, The Black Dahlia Murder. It is the only album to feature bassist Sean Gauvreau who was replaced by David Lock. It was released independently in May 2001.
The title of the album is derived from the NES game Castlevania II: Simon's Quest; during the in-game transition from day to night, the quoted line would appear in a text box.
The titular song is available as downloadable content in the Rock Band video game series.
