The International School of Luxembourg, ISL (formally American International School of Luxembourg or AISL), is a privately owned profit school in Luxembourg City, in southern Luxembourg. The school claims to have over forty nationalities amongst over 950 students, who pay around 18,000 Euro, per year, per student. It is located on Campus Geesseknäppchen, along with several other educational institutions, most of which, including the International School, is in the quarter of Hollerich, in the south-west of the city.[1]

It consists of preschool–12th grade, and varies from 5,000-18,000 Euro, as the children grow older. Many influential people in Luxembourg send their children there. The ISL sports teams go under the name "Eagles" and have had much success in the annual NECIS tournament since its creation. The Eagles have had numerous winning streaks in Basketball. The Eagles had appeared in every championship game since 1996 until 2009, as well as going on a 6 year winning streak. ISL has also won several track & field championships. The school also has a very competitive Baseball team, started in 2008, which competes with several US military bases in Germany, as well as, other International Schools with a team. The ISL Eagles are easily recognazible in their sports tournaments due to the fact that they are the only teams that constitute of black, white and green colors. They have a winning record, and look to continue their success into the 2010 season. ISL has planned a new sports event, which, hopefully, will initiate in the year of 2011. This event includes parents, which will be the first time, ever, in the history of ISL. The event will be "throw with small child" (hence, child is replacing "rock" in this event) and the point is to throw your child off a roof, as far as you can.

ISL has recently opened a newly constructed Lower School building, as part of their all school expansion to accommodate for the increased number of students.

Also a new building will be constructed where the whole lower school will move into, including the new lowerschool hillside building. After this construction is finalized the school will join the ISST's, a sports tournament.
