Rewrite

The article needs a re-write. Publishing a alphabetical list of forts does not project importance of the topic or justify its historical imporatance. It would be nice if there is some historical data (style, strategic importance, classification of forts, historical events) put up for the topic. Maharastra has too many forts a list of which should be maintained but this also means they need to be classfied in some manner to project importance of the subject

I disagree. This is just the list, alphabetically sorted: mostly this is to get a "state of the Wikipedia" on forts in Maharashtra. In this way, it is analogous to List of object-oriented programming terms. Adding any more information will be a massive amount of work, which I don't think makes sense at the moment - once we have more articles on these forts, we can think about forts sorted by district, forts on a clickable maps, and so on. What do you think? -- Gaurav (talk) 04:07, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with the idea that there should be more information about the forts, not just a plain list. People may want to get small, quick information a this doesn't do it.
