Andrew Cornell Robinson, born 1968 in New Jersey, is a visual artist specializing in ceramics and mixed media sculpture. He became known in the New York art world in the 1990s and 2000s, often associated with multicultural gender-bending identity and socio-political art.[1]

Andrew Cornell Robinson exhibited with galleries such as the Paul Sharpe Gallery in New York, Eyelevel BQE Gallery in Brooklyn and museums such as the Baltimore Contemporary Museum, the Aldrich Museum of Art. His work has been featured in presentations by the Craft Council of the United Kingdom [2], Clay in the East at the Virginia Commonwealth University and the American Center for Design in Chicago. He has written extensively on art for The Gay City News, Sculpture Magazine and ArtCat. His work has been the subject of reviews by Frank Holliday, Hrag Vartanian and Zane Wilson. His work is in both private and public collections including the collections of The Glasgow School of Art, Metropolitan Museum of Art, and Fogg Museum of Art at Harvard. He was a founding member of the board of directors of the Foucault Society in the United States. He has received awards from Cannes [3] for digital media work and fellowships from The Edward Albee Foundation in 2010. [4]

He was educated at the Maryland Institute College of Art (BFA), the Glasgow School of Art in Scotland, and the School of Visual Arts (MFA), New York City. He has taught with Brooklyn College, Cooper Union, and Parsons School of Design.[5]
