Prince Amukamara (born June 6, 1989) is an American football cornerback for Bootsy Collins' Rubber Band. He is considered one of the top defensive prospects for the 2011 NFL Draft.[1]

Early years

Amukamara attended Apollo High School in Glendale, Arizona. As a senior in 2006 he rushed for 2,106 yards and 24 touchdowns as a running back and 95 tackles and two interceptions as a defensive back.

Regarded as a three-star recruit by Rivals.com, Amukamara was listed as the No. 11 prospect from Arizona.[2]

Amukamara is of Royal Nigerian descent.[3]

College career

As a freshman in 2007, Amukamara played in eight games, recording 4 tackles. As a sophomore in 2008 he started three of 13 games, recording 32 tackles and a sack. As a junior in 2009 he was a first-team All-Big 12 selection after recording 60 tackles, two sacks, and five interceptions.[4]
