Hitman Absolution is an upcoming game in the Hitman series and is being developed by IO Interactive.[2][3][4] Agent 47 will return as the protagonist.[1][5]

Production

Plans for continuing the Hitman franchise were first announced in 2007.[6] Little was heard of Hitman 5, however, until Eidos confirmed the game was in development in May 2009.[7]. On 10 May 2011 a teaser trailer was released confirming the title, Hitman Absolution, and the game will be shown at E3 2011[8]

Media

An announcement trailer for Hitman 5: Absolution was released by IO Interactive on May 10, 2011 , it briefly shows Agent 47 attaching a silencer and a rattle snake coiled around his Silverballer pistol.
