Vedam (Telugu: వేదం; English: chant) is a 2010 Telugu drama film written and directed by Krish, starring Allu Arjun, Manoj Kumar Manchu, Anushka Shetty, Manoj Bajpai,[1] Lekha Washington, and Siya Gautham. The film was released on 4 June 2010 to critical acclaim.[2][3] Krish has remade the film in Tamil cinema as Vaanam (2011).[4]
Plot
Vedam involves topical themes-trafficking in human organs, theft by a youth enamored by glitz—that deserve attention and debate.[5][6] It revolves around 5 principal characters.

The film's music was composed by M. M. Keeravani while the lyrics were written by Sirivennela Seetarama Sastry, Sahiti, E. S. Murthy and M. M. Keeravani[7] The audio was released in the presence of notable Telugu film personalities [7] on 3 May 2010.
The song 'Egiripothe Entha Baguntundhi', performed by Sunita & MM Keeravaani, became a major hit in Hyderabad and the state of Andhra Pradesh in the months following the release of the audio and film.
