Reeves

It's Reeves' or Reeves's turtle. It was named for someone named Reeves (hence reveesii), not Reeve. 219.73.95.228 (talk) 02:41, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Breeding

I used to have a pet Reeves turtle when I was in my early teens and lived North of Seattle, decades ago. Not long before I moved away, it disappeared when I let it run loose in the tightly-fenced backyard for a moment while I hosed out the tank. I assume it somehow managed to burrow under the fence & out. The article makes it sound as though it breeds easily with almost any other sort of turtle. So I wonder if perhaps now there are several new varieties of Reeves turtle to be found in the Seattle area. Former neighbors say that they've spotted turtles crossing the road from time to time.... Of course it could also be my Box Turtle - they ran off together... if you can honestly use "run" in the same sentence with Box Turtle.... lol MarkoOhNo (talk) 09:29, 18 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
