Involved parties
[edit]- Chiang Kai-shek (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · page moves · block user · block log)
- Ideogram (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · page moves · block user · block log) (filer)
- Chiang Kai-shek has made tendentious edits on portals and articles related to Taiwan and the Republic of China, engaged in personal attacks, failed to assume good faith, and lied to further his agenda. His username also violates Wikipedia policy.
Mediation
[edit]- Chiang Kai-shek initiated a move war trying to rename Portal:Taiwan to Portal:Republic of China. The page was move-protected forcing him to discuss on the talk page. Despite the efforts of three mediators the issue was not resolved. A straw poll showed a total of ten votes in favor of the name Portal:Taiwan with only Chiang Kai-shek opposed.
- Chiang Kai-shek has also edited Republic of China, Portal:Taiwan/Related portals, Portal:China/Subportals, Portal:China/Intro, and Jincheng advancing his Pro-Republic of China agenda. He has made personal attacks calling me a "Communist" and most recently leaving this message on my talk page.
- He has consistently refused to assume good faith about his opponents, insisting that User:Nrtm81 has a pro-independence agenda despite all assurances to the contrary.
- Recently he blatantly lied in an attempt to get the move protection lifted.
- After filing this RFAR I received this message as well as this vandalization of my user page. --Ideogram 03:09, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
- Regarding comments by User:^demon. This is a simple misunderstanding. I work with the Mediation Cabal. The case I closed was filed with Mediation Cabal, where WCityMike indicated that he was not willing to participate in that mediation, but would be willing to participate with the Mediation Committee. It was that case that I closed. It is not surprising that User:^demon was able to get WCityMike's cooperation since User:^demon works with the Mediation Committee. I had no intention of interfering with the Mediation Committee, I merely wanted to indicate that the Mediation Cabal was not handling the case.
- I have answered User:^demon's comment on my talk page. --Ideogram 02:52, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
- User:Chiang Kai-shek is continuing his crusade. --Ideogram 06:12, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
Statement by Chiang Kai-shek
[edit]Do I care about this RFC filed against me by conspirator Ideogram. He has lied about many things in the above post. And it was a misunderstanding as Nrtm81 well knows. Ideogram has been begging Nrtm81 to file a RFC to make me "go away," but so far Nrtm81 has resisted. I don't care what Ideogram does. He lies and fabricates things to suit himself. Whatever. Also note that Ideogram called me insane on his own talk page. What a sore hypocrite and loser. -Chiang Kai-shek 18:05, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
- Second Comment:Nrtm81, thank you for the understanding comments left on my talk page. It really made my day. You are very kind, understanding, and compassionate. You truly understand what is going on. Unlike Ideogram, who is oblivious and clearly a Wikipedia bully, Nrtm81 actually has a heart. Ideogram will probably cite this as another source to why I am "incompetent." Well, Ideogram basically started the whole thing. He has his own biases so that is why he targeted me. He is most likely biased towards the PRC or Taiwan independence so that's why he targeted a loyal supporter of the ROC and KMT. I truly didn't want to vandalize his page. He had just been pushing me into a dark corner until I couldn't stand it anymore. I really wouldn't dream of vandalizing or leaving such terrible comments. It was Ideogram who pushed me into it. Ideogram has problems. I don't know why he is involved in so many mediations. He sides with one party and then crushes the mediation by pretending to be neutral when he isn't. He is killing Wikipedia by inciting confrontation. For example, he insisted that Nrtm81 file an RFC against me the whole time during mediation. What kind of mediator is that? He is creating division on purpose, everywhere he goes, and he clearly knows it. -Chiang Kai-shek 18:17, 15 July 2006 (UTC)

Findings of fact
[edit]Locus of dispute
[edit]1.1) It is alleged that Chiang_Kai-shek, who has changed his name to Heqong (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log), has disrupted editing of articles which relate to the Republic of China.
- Passed 6-0 14:00, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
The name Chiang Kai-shek
[edit]2) Chiang Kai-shek, while famous, is long dead. A user choosing that name could not be reasonably confused with him. However Chiang Kai-shek has changed his name to Heqong.
