Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Dan56 (talk) 09:08, 4 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Usher 2011 grammy awards.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Usher 2011 grammy awards.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Peripitus (Talk) 11:13, 4 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Users are expected to collaborate with others and avoid editing disruptively.

In particular, the three-revert rule states that:

  1. Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you continue to edit war, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. I gave one to myself as well. Island Monkey talk the talk 12:09, 4 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Considering the fact I did not violate the three revert rule and did my edits manually I will not be blocked. I cannot say the same for you. You will be blocked if you continue to revert edits. 6 times you have already!!Rose Marie Aragon (talk) 12:12, 4 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Consider adding your words onto here? Island Monkey talk the talk 12:26, 4 June 2011 (UTC)rted_by_User:Island_Monkey_.28Result[reply]

Just did.Rose Marie Aragon (talk) 12:31, 4 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is your only warning; if you make personal attacks on other people again, as you did at Talk:Raymond v. Raymond, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. Island Monkey talk the talk 12:38, 4 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Fine but it is you who will be blocked for reverting 9/10 times!! Have fun being blocked forever. Months at least. I only reverted twice did my best to avoid conflict. By leaving in those statements and editing around. But you kept going. And I did not threaten you or threaten to cause any harm. But fine I will control myself.Rose Marie Aragon (talk) 12:41, 4 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring, as you did at Raymond v. Raymond. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.

You have got to be joking. What have I done? I busted my ass to manually edit every time. Explaining every edit and always making sure I didn't break any rules. Island Monkey needlessly and carelessly flat out reverted w/o any attempt to follow the rules. Don't tell me everything I did was for nothing. He reverted 14 times and he doesn't get a minute longer than me? How is that fair? And he gets his way because he edited the page last. So I busted my ass following the rules and he gets to win? Un block me I did nothing.
