Armistice and Dedication Day is a stage play written by Robert B. Sherman, who later became an Academy Award winning songwriter. Sherman was sixteen years old when the play premiered in 1942, at the height of American involvement in World War II. The production yielded thousands of dollars in war bonds, earning Sherman a special citation from the War Department.[1] The play premiered at the Beverly Hills High School theatre in Beverly Hills, California.

Plot/theme

The plot centers around contemporary 1940s Americans, showing how their lives were inextricably changed following the December 7, 1941, attack on Pearl Harbor by the Empire of Japan.
