Jun Kung

Joventino Couto Remotigue also known as Jun Kung (Chinese: 恭碩良; pinyin: ɡōnɡ shuò liánɡ; born August 18, 1977) and is presently residing in Hong Kong.
Biography
He is known for being “the drummer” in Hong Kong, also a singer songwriter and music producer. Born in Hong Kong, he spent his early years in Macau and went to The City University of New York majoring in music. In June, 1999 he released his first EP “Here & Now” and won the Year 2000 Hong Kong Commercial Radio Music Award’s “New Artist – 1st place”. In July 2001, Jun released his 2nd album “No Where Man” and in 2008 for an independent album “Ginja Rock EP”.
The past decade, Jun played more attention off the centre stage but in recording studio and as a musician. As a musician, he was a member for Paul Wong’s band “Hann”, he also toured with pop singers in Hong Kong, one of the many was Jacky Cheung, who once described him as one of the best drummer in town. Jun was part of Cheung’s “The Year Of Jacky Cheung World Tour ‘07” for total of 105 shows in over 60 cities. Shortly after that, he was invited by Eason Chan to be his drummer for Chan’s sixth record-breaking theme concert, “Duo Eason Chan 2010 Concert ” at the Hong Kong Coliseum for a total of 18 shows, followed by the “Duo Eason Chan World Tour” which for now will go on till 2012. Concurrently, Jun is also touring with Faye Wong, Sandy Lam, and more acclaimed artists in China and Taiwan in the near future.
Solo career
As a solo artist, there was “Jun K”, the long-waited 4th album which was released in September 2010 and simultaneously he did the “Jun on The Moon Live 2010” concert. In it, Jacky Cheung, Sandy Lam, 24HERBS and Terence Yin were invited as special guests for him. Jun has returned to the big screen and played part in "Rebellion” and created a very memorable gangster character within the audiences and also he was a villain in “Punish”, staring Anthony Wong and Richie Ren. Other than acting, Jun is constantly composing for movie soundtracks, his early works included “Time and Tide”, “Night Corridor”, “The Heavenly Kings”, “Gallants” and lately “Marry-Go-Around”. His original song “Here to Stay” for “Marry-Go-Around” also won “The 30th Hong Kong Film Award Best Original Film Song”. Jun is expecting to release his brand new album in Fall of 2011.
