2011 Players Championship

Thanks for the feedback. I feel that if all 4 World Golf Championships have yearly tournament pages that the Players should as well. The third round was correct, but it was the overnight scores (with the hole they were on at the end of nights play) . I finally added the final 3rd round scores and summaries to the rest of the page which now matches the format of all the majors. hietanbs (talk) 9:44, 18 May 2011 (UTC)

Inex-Adria Aviopromet Flight 1308 (Reply)

I just got your message about the edit I made and wanted to answer your question. I made this edit because the MD-81 it started out as a DC-9. In fact, its original name was the DC-9-81, or DC-9 Super 81. I hope this clears things up. And003 (talk) 21:17, 25 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Keegan Bradley

Hello, I just wanted to take a moment to apologize for any confusion that might have been caused by the edit I made a couple days ago to the Keegan Bradley article. The edit summary I wrote was not intended to suggest that the ESPN reference was added to the article incorrectly. Rather, I was simply expanding on it. To parahphrase what User:Tewapack wrote later (and more accurately): "the more complete, the better". Sorry for not making that point clearer, and thanks for taking the time to read this. Take care,  Gongshow Talk 00:21, 1 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your reply. I understand where you're coming from and especially appreciate the point you make about ESPN not being the originator of the wire story. Again, thanks for your time. Take care,  Gongshow Talk 17:20, 1 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please have a look at WP:CITE and in particular WP:CITEVAR. There are a variety of ways to cite sources on Wikipedia - just because you prefer one way doesn't mean that other ways are wrong. The style of citations for the Keegan Bradley article was established by the creator of the article (User:Gongshow) and tweaked slightly by myself. You added the text and ref about Bradley's recent win. Gongshow made a perfectly reasonable edit to the ref to use the same format as the four other refs in the article - from WP:CITEVAR, "Citations within each Wikipedia article should follow a consistent style" and "Generally considered helpful - Replacing bare URLs with full bibliographic citations: an improvement because it provides more information to the reader and fights linkrot." and "if there is disagreement about which style is best, defer to the style used by the first major contributor". I have restored the full citation to the ref (and added the missing wire service info). Tewapack (talk) 17:45, 2 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Agadir – Al Massira Airport incidents

This was done because the accident actually happened at Inezgane Airport, the old airport of Agadir. Agadir – Al Massira Airport wasn't build yet at that time - see also the edit summary, where I stated "moved some text to Inezgane Airport, the old airport of Agadir". See also the reference at the Inezgane page; http://aviation-safety.net/database/record.php?id=19750803-1 --Antheii (talk) 13:31, 11 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

As per above source, I have removed the Boeing 707 incident again from the Al Massira article. --Antheii (talk) 12:03, 14 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Edit war

Hello. You appear to be involved in an edit war on Peggy Kirk Bell . While the three-revert rule is hard and fast, please be aware that you can be blocked for edit warring without making 3 reverts to an article in 24 hours. You are not entitled to 3 reverts and are expected to cooperatively engage other editors on talk pages rather than reverting their edits. Note that posting your thoughts on the talk page alone is not a license to continue reverting. You must reach consensus. Continued edit warring may cause you to be blocked. Paula Creamer and Marlene Hagge - youngest winner of LPGA event

Please read the LPGA record listing again:

http://lpga.com/content/Alltimerecords.pdf

Youngest winner
Marlene Hagge, 1952 Sarasota Open (18-hole event) at 18 years, 14 days
Marlene Hagge, 1952 Bakersfield Open (18-hole event) at 18 years, 2 months, 15 days
Paula Creamer, 2005 Sybase Classic presented by Lincoln Mercury (72-hole event) at 18 years, 9 month, 17 days
Morgan Pressel, 2007 Kraft Nabisco Championship (72-hole event) at 18 years, 10 months, 9 days
Paula Creamer, 2005 Evian Masters (72-hole event), 18 years, 11 months, 18 days
Amy Alcott, 1975 Orange Blossom Classic (54-hole event) at 19 years, 1 day

The LPGA certainly does seem to differentiate among tournaments of different lengths when assigning records for the youngest winner. --Crunch (talk) 04:37, 27 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
