Matthew James "Matt" Shively, Jr. (born September 15, 1990)[1] is an American actor best known for his role as Ryan Laserbeam on the Nickelodeon television series True Jackson, VP.[2]
Early life
Shively was born in Hanford, California.[1][3] He became interested in acting in the fourth grade after seeing Shia LeBeouf on the television program Even Stevens, and LeBeouf remains his inspiration for acting.[3]
Career
Shively has had only a few roles. He had a minor part in the 2007 film Rattle Basket, and another small part on an episode of Zoey 101.[4] He auditioned several times for the part of Ryan on True Jackson, VP, and was told he didn't get it.[5] He was called back two weeks later, tested for the role, and won the part.[5] The show has received positive reviews.[6] Beginning in June 2011, he will play Sky on Winx Club.[7]He will also join the cast on The Troop Season 2.
