The Gambit is a rap music artist and producer from Finland that performs in English and in Finnish. He has a Master's degree in Economics & Business Administration. He is also an LL.M. graduate. The Gambit debuted in 2005 with his independently released single, Move Gambit / Cos My Clique Is, which reached #9 in the Finland singles chart.

The Gambit runs a label/production company QGL - Queen Gambit Laboratoires. He is also a partner in a film production company Twisted Films whose client roster includes BMW and Universal Music among others. The Gambit's debut album, "Rosary", released in 2007 led him to open shows for international acts such as Delinquent Habits, Rick Ross and Three 6 Mafia. His beats and remixes have featured artists such as Deams, De La Soul, Ice-T, Psycho Les of The Beatnuts and opera singer Marika Krook.

In 2008 The Gambit inked a brand partnership deal with Pepsi as the first Finnish rap artist. Later that same year his single and music video, "Snake Styles", placed #9 on Music Televisionʼs Base Chart and was awarded in the Oulu Music Video Festival. The Gambit was also awarded as the best local rap artist by City-magazine.

In 2011 The Gambit signed with GMC for representation (as a producer) in the United States. He also aims to release his first rap album in Finnish. The lead single, "Mitä Kurko (Feat. Samuel)", from the upcoming album placed #2 in the iTunes rap & hip hop chart and #17 on mainstream top 100.
