The "Stadt" thing
The introduction;
- Fehmarn (Danish: Femern) is an island and - since 2003 - a town on this island in the Baltic Sea...
This is confusing; suddenly, in 2003, a town named Fehmarn materialised on the island of Fehmarn!? I get the gist of it from the German page, but to non-Germans ears it sounds odd that an entire island suddenly becomes a "town". I know Stadt translates to town in its direct sense, but in English you would not use town to describe an entire area of consisting of several separate "smallish urban areas" inbetween cornfields. I suggest we add a short paragraph to explain how and why the entire island of Fehmarn is a "town". -- 90.184.243.14 (talk) 09:21, 1 November 2011 (UTC)
