Tando Adam Khan

Tando Adam (Urdu: ٹنڈو آدم خان) is a town in Sindh, Pakistan.

HISTORICAL BACK GROUND

Tando Adam is named after Adam Khan Mari............ and in old Sindhi "Tando" is used for a little town. In deed Adam Khan Mari was the owner of this Land in British India time. In 1947 its total population was only eight thousands. It was a city that was famous for its clean roads , peace, love and brotherhood amongst all communities living there in. There was a Hindu shrine known as Tayoon Mal -je -Dib where hindu community have a festival every year and it was on the southern side of the town. There were many temples. After announcement of Pakistan hidus migrated from all parts of Pakistan including Tando Adam and Muslims all parts of India and came to Pakistan.At that Time Daud Khan Mari the some of grand son of Adam Khan was the Chairman of Tando Adam. This was very ice family very polite and very trust worthy.In the Tando Adam Politics first Mari Baloush were on front line and amongst then Raise Daud Khan Mari, Rais Bachoo Khan Mari and Rais Rasul Bux Mari play good part.Pakistan Muslim League, Conventional Muslim League and Ayoob Khan Muslim League play in the field of politics. Later on "Waryyah Family" enter in the politics.Faqeer Ghulam Hussain Waryah , Muhammad Sharif Waryah, and Abdullah Waryah played their part in politics. Waryah since were followers of Makhdoon family hence during their time Pakistan Peoples Party come up under the city headship of Muhammad Sharif Waryah, as Presidet of Pakistan Peoples Party. Abdullah Waryah as President of Sindh Peoples Studanet Fedration Distict Sanghar, Mahood Alam As President Sindh Student Federation o Tando Adam--later on Gen. sec. PPP Ward -D, After death of Muhammad Sharif Waryah, Abdullah waryah become President of PPP Tando Adam. Durinmg those dayus Junijo family rise up under the head ship of Sahah Nawaz Junijo and his two brothers Abdul Qadir Junijo and Ghulam Hussain Junijo. During these days before PPP Dr.. Siddiqi remain Mair of Tando Adam. He was also a good and educated person who took good part in development of Tando Adam.Now a days this city due to encouragement has lost its beauty and its old values Presently Roshan Junijo is MNA and Fida Hussain Dero is MPA from this area.

Economic activity

The town has many emerging industries like Mian cotton factory, Jugnu Match, Jugnu cotton ginning, Ismail jee is considered to be the trade hub of the district. Tando Adam has the biggest power loom industry in Pakistan. Besides this, numerous fruit juice, paper products, cotton ginning and cottage industries also contribute to the national exchequer. Tando Adam is a economic center for District Sanghar. There are 20+ Cotton ginning factories.

It also contains many educational institutions. It is famous for its foods, including "sajji" which is exported all over the world.

The major business areas are linked with Muhammad Ali Jinnah Road. Muhammadi Chowk is the transit hub for proceeding to Hyderabad via the national highway.

City of art, culture and music

Tando Adam has produced so many vocalists, actors, film director and artists. This city is known for 2 reason one RAAN ( called Saji) and Ustad Manzoor Ali Khan. Saji is signature food items of the city. Ustad Manzoor Ali Khan is the only singer from Sindhi Music who received pride of performance award from Government of Pakistan. He simplified Sindhi Kaafi ( sufi verses) into simplified form with a fusion of classical music. He worked on so may Sindhi Ragas with highest level of expertise. His services for Sindhi Music has made him a legend in Sindhi Music History. His work was followed by Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan in national and international level. We people from Tando Adam very proud of him. His family members still live in Tando Adam City.His Son in law who was also born in Tando Adam, Ustad Fateh Ali Khan, has been conferred with Pride of Performance and Sitara-e- Imtiaz by the Government of Pakistan. His other Son in law, Mr. Piaro Khan has remained SDM of Tando Adam and caused so many civic problems of the city with keen interest. tando adam is a city of peace and it is well known for the hafiz badaiyoon peraas , halwa poori , and and milk of mastana also famous chaat of jumman jatti .
