This article may meet Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion because in its current form it serves only to promote or publicise an entity, person, product, or idea, and would require a fundamental rewrite in order to become encyclopedic. However, the mere fact that a company, organization, or product is a page's subject does not, on its own, qualify that page for deletion under this criterion. This criterion also does not apply where substantial encyclopedic content would remain after removing the promotional material as deletion is not cleanup; in this case please remove the promotional material yourself, or add the {{advert}} tag to alert others to do so. See CSD G11.

Template:Big Brother housemates Big Brother Australia: Secrets (also known as Big Brother Australia 2012) is the upcoming ninth season of the Australian reality television series, Big Brother Australia. After three years off air, the Nine Network confirmed on 9 September 2011 that they had signed a contract with Southern Star Group to air the series in 2012; the first time a broadcaster other than Network Ten has broadcast the show in Australia.[1]
While a host has not yet been named, it is expected that the show will air in 2012, after the network's coverage of the Olympics.[2][3]
Changes to format
Since the show's revival, it has been revealed that all housemates will have a secret.[1][2] The series is also set to be scaled back with a tighter budget.[4] In terms of gameplay, the title suggests that it may take elements out of the French version of Big Brother, Secret Story.[1] This style of format would see housemates, much like past seasons, living communally with one another, while simultaneously seeking to discover "secrets" about their fellow housemates.
On the 16th November 2011, Sonia Kruger, who has been the co-host of Dancing With The Stars, was confirmed the new host of Big Brother in 2012.
Pre-season
Several days after the news Big Brother was to return, Southern Star Group announced on their casting website that they would be accepting pre-audition applications for people who are interested in participating on the season.[5]
The official Facebook page for the show, as directed to by the ESS website, was opened on 15 September 2011.[6]
The location of the Big Brother compound has not yet been officially confirmed, however, Queensland Premier Anna Bligh stated that she would do everything possible to see the show return to the Gold Coast.[7] A spokesperson from Dreamworld, the original home of Big Brother, has stated that as of 21 September 2011 nothing was locked in but the theme park would welcome the return of the show.[8]
