February 2012 Bottom Line is that "Wikipedia" is Really "Liberalpedia" and Any Contrary Viewpoint is Either Deleted or Called Off-Topic or Some Such Pretext

There's an enormous debate about country music, of course. Any person familiar at all with country music and its history would understand that, and would also understand the Strait-Jackson song "Murder on Music Row" summed it up neatly.

There's also very widespread recognition of Andrea Mitchell's ideological bias.

Again, though, mentioning such matters is verboten because Wikipedia won't permit anything other than a liberal ideological slant. I'd like to see Wikipedia be neutral.

Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. I am glad to see that you are discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, talk pages such as Talk:Andrea Mitchell are for discussion related to improving the article, not general discussion about the topic. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. Thank you. I've now removed your chat from Talk:Country Music Television as well. - SummerPhD (talk) 04:17, 7 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Summer PhD, I'd Be Delighted to Compare My Many Decades of Country Music Knowledge to Your Own

My experience began with Hank Williams. Care to compare knowledge of the topic?

If I did, Wikipedia wouldn't be the place to do it. - SummerPhD (talk) 03:59, 17 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Like many other educated, experienced people of good will, I've abandoned any attempt to edit Wikipedia articles. But noting a major controversy in country music is the function of "talk." And, for a veteran to note the obvious failure of LBJ and his widow to welcome and acknowledge veterans of the very war they sent them to, it would take a mighty young and inexperienced "PhD" to not comprehend the validity of that. Banning people for not having the worldview of a young liberal is not only ridiculous, but narrowminded; besides, that sort of arrogance merely consigns Wikipedia to irrelevance.
