Rollback

(add requestview requests)

Hello, I'm Michael and I recently picked up my account back in late November after months of inactivity. Through this 4 month period, I have learned a lot. In December I started reading some of Wikipedia policy, and I was instantly hooked. I began to patrol Special:Log/newusers for vandalism with the help of Twinkle in January and began working in the AfD recently in the past month and a half. I'm requesting rollback because I feel that I have a good understanding of Wikipedia policy and would like to become admin someday. I feel I don't need this feature, and if an admin feels I'm not ready yet they can decline this request, but I feel I am ready to step forth and gain one more user right. Thank you. --Michaelzeng7 (talk - contribs) 22:51, 22 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm a very active Wikipedian, and am not involved in any "edit-wars" etc. I have already promoted 3 articles to GA, which may help your decision. :) I'd like to stop vandalism, and this can help me. Best, Khanassassin 11:38, 23 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry if I'm being very stalkish here and if there is indeed no SP problems (which I am not convinced of) but I do have to point out Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/7arazred/Archive at this point for full disclosure because you are requesting this permission and given the fact that you tend to remove all notices from your user talk page. —  HELLKNOWZ  ▎TALK 13:29, 23 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I have been fighting vandalism from the past two days and have reverted more than 50 edits. I currently use Twinkle and it takes some time and a procedure to revert the vandalism. So, I would like to have the rollbacker feature for faster reverts as I wish to continue fighting vandalism and lend a hand in keeping Wikipedia clean. Thank you. (Non-administrator comment) You might find that Twinkle is a far better system than rollback will ever be. Mlpearc (powwow) 17:53, 23 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Periodically, I fight against vandalism here on English Wikipedia, and with this feature it would be easier. I have long experience on Serbian Wikipedia, where I am rollbacker and patroller.--В и к и T 16:25, 23 February 2012 (UTC) В и к и T 16:25, 23 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Not done - I see no evidence of reverting vandalism in your contributions. Try using Twinkle for a while, and come back when you've gained some experience.  An optimist on the run! 07:12, 24 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I see you had it before, and it was removed at your own request rather than for any misuse, therefore  Done An optimist on the run! 16:21, 24 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I have been an active Wikipedian since 2005, where I have been able, in addition to building content on Portuguese subjects, removed malicious blanking, mischievous behaviour, blatant vandalism and POV edits that do not follow the conventions of Wikipedia. In dealing with Wikipedians I have maintained a personable and mature level-headed attitude, avoided edit-warring, saught-out consensus and supported dialogue with administrators and users in order to resolve disputes. Until recently I did have the vandalism function in "Difference between revisions" pages, but it disappeared without warning: I find that it compliments my Reviewer rights and wish to continue broadening my level of participation in Wikipedia with this function.
